To Fruit or Not To Fruit – How Biblical Leadership Training Begins with Spiritual Fruit

At Victory College, our mission is to raise up kingdom leaders through ministry education programs that are biblically accurate and spiritually transformational. In this message, Pastor Jason Nussbaum challenges students to evaluate one simple question: Are you bearing fruit?

1. The Power of Revelation in Ministry Education

In the journey toward becoming equipped for ministry leadership, one thing stands out: revelation. Pastor Jason contrasts communicated knowledge vs. revelation knowledge—key for anyone enrolled in a biblical leadership training program. Students at Victory College are encouraged to pursue God’s Word personally, not just academically.

2. Ministry Training Requires the Fruit of the Spirit

Whether you're pursuing worship training courses, spiritual life development, or online ministry training, the foundation is the same: fruit. Galatians 5 isn’t about nine options—it’s one fruit of the Spirit. Pastor Jason reminds us that the presence of real fruit reveals true submission to the Holy Spirit, something that every leader-in-training must carry.

3. God Doesn’t Tolerate Leaves Without Fruit

Jesus cursed the fig tree that had leaves but no fruit. Why? Because ministry without fruit is empty performance. At Victory College, we believe ministry training programs should never prioritize production over presence. As Pastor Jason said, “I want everything we do to be filtered through one thing: the presence of God.”

4. Pruning is Part of Biblical Leadership

Just like a gardener prunes what is growing to produce more, God prunes those who bear fruit. Students in biblical leadership training may experience this pruning in the form of challenges, correction, and cutting away old habits—but it’s all to grow stronger fruit.

5. Shift Your Pursuit – Don’t Chase Fruit, Pursue the Source

Too many people burn out in ministry because they chase fruit rather than abiding in the source. Through prayer, fasting, and the Word of God, we position ourselves for health and longevity in leadership. This is the rhythm of life modeled in all our programs—whether it’s our on-campus experience or online ministry training.

6. Why This Message Matters for Christian Leaders Today

From campus revival movements to national leadership, Pastor Jason ties today’s message to a larger movement. Leaders from sports teams to political platforms are returning to the biblical foundations this nation was built on—and students at Victory College are being equipped to take their place in that revival.

Conclusion:

To fruit or not to fruit? There’s no middle ground. True students of Victory College know that fruit is not optional—it's evidence of God at work. Whether you're in our creative arts program, our ministry education programs, or pursuing a worship training course, our goal is the same: to bear fruit that remains.
