At Victory College, we’re not just about academics — we’re about transformation. And sometimes, transformation begins with an honest look in the mirror.

In a recent Chapel message titled “Let’s Face It,” Mr. Craig Jerpi, our Director of Academics, invited students into one of the most powerful moments of the semester — a call to lay down their masks and step into the freedom of authenticity.

With raw honesty, Mr. Jerpi shared his personal journey through childhood trauma, instability, and shame — a life marked by wearing “masks” to survive. Whether it was being the funny guy, the performer, the peacemaker, or even the “perfect Christian,” the masks weren’t healing anything — they were only hiding what needed to be brought into the light.

“Unhealed wounds don’t disappear. They fester. And masks only cover what’s rotting underneath.”

In a room full of students pursuing God’s calling, the invitation was clear:Forget the former things. Acknowledge the mess. Connect with the Father. Embrace authenticity.Because true healing doesn’t come from pretending — it comes from God’s presence.

Students were challenged to reflect on the masks they’ve carried — fear, performance, shame, perfectionism — and lay them at the altar. What followed was a sacred moment of surrender. Tears turned into praise. Shame gave way to freedom. Worship became a weapon against the lies of the past.

This is what Victory College is all about — raising up leaders who are whole, honest, and on fire for God. Not perfect people, but people no longer pretending. People who have faced the truth, and found healing in Jesus.

“When I finally dropped the mask, I discovered the person God actually created. I met me for the first time.”— Mr. Jerpi, Director of Academics
